Purveyor of Revolutionary paraphernalia Omoyele Sowore is in desperate need of assistance right now. To save Sowore, Nigerians must be saved from his distorted view of the world. Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, a former Lagos State Governor and current presidential candidate for the All Progressive Congress (APC), was slammed by the self-styled activist on Twitter a few days ago in a move that bundled his lack of depth and mischief into one vomit-inducing disaster. If he had even the tiniest sliver of honor, he should have corrected the impression he had created.
Tinubu’s involvement on the country’s insecurity was a target of Sowore’s tweets, which portrayed the APC presidential contender in a negative light. In the video, Tinubu advocated for the widespread enlistment of Nigeria’s young in the military in order to combat the country’s current plague of terrorism and banditry.
Right-thinking Nigerians already understand the importance of heavily recruiting the country’s youth into the military, which would be beneficial to both the military and the country as a whole. For those few brain-damaged individuals who perceive Sowore as an activist or a messiah, however, such recruiting is critical.
Tinubu is correct when he says that the government and organized private sector are in a race to recruit young unemployed people. Youths who join the military will no longer be available to those who seek to indoctrinate them into a life of vices and crime by recruiting them. To offset individuals who have found themselves on the wrong side of the law, a smaller number of criminals will have to be hunted down, cutting down the country’s criminal population by half.
Secondly, by hiring these young people, more money will flow into the economy, resulting in a better standard of living for everyone. With this method, money is put in young people’s hands without the impression that they are receiving a freebie.
The additional benefit is that more young people would receive combat training, making it harder for terrorists to kidnap Nigerians since they will believe that everyone they abduct is a fair game. They will still be able to help their communities fend against bandits and other criminals even after they leave the military.
These youth can also be used in non-combat duties, such as agricultural support, engineering works, and emergency and rescue services in times of peace. Sowore, who claims to be an international citizen, should have known that this is a common practice in countries with substantial military personnel during peacetime.
The unfortunate thing is that in his attempt to attack Tinubu, Sowore tweeted the wrong thing. The APC presidential candidate got it right, as he usually does, and the Revolution Now impostor is a long way off the mark. When it comes to problems related to Nigeria, he lacks Tinubu’s nationalistic perspective.
It’s inevitable that Sowore will unleash more of these ill-advised and nasty rants until the 2023 Presidential Election, when he will once again be exposed as a charlatan at his chosen profession which makes him a stand-up comedy. There is a troubling pattern that has emerged over time. His firm, Sahara Reporters, has been used to smear Tinubu’s reputation to the fullest extent possible by Sowore. It is the goal of Sahara Reporters to smear Tinubu’s reputation in every way possible, and they aim to do so.
Even if Sowore’s attacks on Tinubu on Twitter and Sahara Reporters were motivated by a patriotic enthusiasm for Nigerians, it is clear that people who know about them are not fooled by it. At initially, it was only until Tinubu, the former Lagos State Governor, called Sowore’s bluff and threatened to publish a list of Abuja property he believed belonged to Tinubu that his rants against Tinubu became apparent.
Tinubu called Sowore’s bluff by refusing to cave into blackmail because his hands are clean and he didn’t do anything illegal, and the publisher of Sahara Reporters has continued to publish lies in the hope that one of them would stick during the years that have followed. Luckily, it appears that Sowore is always the target of ridicule, whether as an activist or as an investigative journalist.
Instead of wasting time mocking Tinubu, Sowore should concentrate on his hilarious bid for the presidency of Nigeria in 2023. It’s possible that Sahara Reporters, his website, would have attracted more brain-damaged voters who will cast their ballots for him.
During this time, Sowore should try to get in touch with neocons he’s doing errands for and convince them that their objective of breaking Nigeria remains unachievable, especially if Tinubu becomes president. A Tinubu presidency would be beneficial to the youth because it would devote all of its efforts to combating unemployment, which is the most pressing issue facing them now. As long as Sowore is unable to comprehend this, there is no way to help him.
