Management of the Akwa-Ibom State University (AKSU) has announced resumption of academic activities for the 2021/2022 academic session amid the ongoing strike by the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU).
A release approved by the University Senate, obtained by CAMPUS GIST, directed all fresh students to report to their respective campuses on Monday, May 16, 2022, and commence registration for the academic year on Tuesday, May 17, 2022.
Similarly, returning students were asked to report at their various campuses on Monday, May 23, 2022, and commence registration for the academic year on Tuesday, May 24, 2022.
According to the directive, lectures are to commence for fresh students on Tuesday, May 24, 2022.
Similarly, lectures are to commence for returning students on Tuesday, May 31, 2022.
The statement advised all students and staff members to adhere strictly to decisions of the Senate.
