NANS VP-elect, Vanessa visits Edo Govt, Police, DSS Boss’

The newly elected Vice President (Inter-Campus Affairs) of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), Comrade Vanessa Egbeahie, has embarked on a series of consultation/courtesy visits to personalities and establishments.

Upon her assumption of office as the pioneer VP (Inter-Campus Affairs), following her electoral victory at the recently concluded NANS National Convention held in Abuja, Comrade Vanessa hit the ground running, in line with her mandate and promise to the Nigerian students.

•Comrade Vanessa Egbeahie with Chief of Staff to the Edo State Governor, Hon. Osaigbovo Iyoha.

Among personalities and places recently visited include the Edo State Government House, in Benin City, where Comrade Vanessa was received by the Chief Of Staff to the Governor, Hon. Osaigbovo Iyoha.

During the familiarisation visit, issues that came up at the front burner include how the Edo State Government can improve on the welfare of students and protect the interests of every Nigerian students.

•Comrade Vanessa Egbeahie with the Edo Police Commissioner, Abutu Yaro, fdi.

Next was at the Edo State Police Command where the new NANS VP was received by the Edo State Commissioner of Police, Abutu Yaro, where issues that affect Nigerian students and how the Police Force and NANS can have a more cordial relationship were tabled.

Also topping the lists of places and establishments visited by the NANS leader include the Department of State Services (DSS), Edo State, and a quick stop over/tête-à-tête with the Chief Security Officer (CSO) of the Edo State Government House, in Benin City.

Comrade Vanessa pledges to work together with all relevant agencies and stakeholders in putting the Nigerian students first in her official duties as NANS VP (Inter-Campus Affairs), including offering interventions in matters affecting students on campus.
