A former Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the University of Benin (UNIBEN)’s Students Union Government (SUG), Mr. Oguche Divine Omale, has graduated with a Master’s degree from the University of Plymouth, United Kingdom.

The UNIBEN alumnus who also holds a Master’s degree in Education from the University of Benin, took to his personal Facebook page to annouce the goodnews on Tuesday.

•Mr. Oguche Divine Omale

Mr. Divine was among the graduands honoured at the graduation ceremony of the UK varsity on Tuesday, an exercise that marked as climax of his Master’s educational pursuit which started two years back in September 2020.

The ex-UNIBEN SUG PRO, who once jettisoned his aspirations of becoming spokesman for the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) in 2020, at the eleventh hour, thanked all those who stood by him and made the dream come true.

Divine wrote,

•Plymouth varsity, UK, graduands.

“In the words of Chinua Achebe – “Those whose kernels were cracked by benevolent spirit should not forget to be grateful”

I look back to how my journey started and I can’t but thank God for the people he brought my ways to render me uncommon favour and blessing. The journey to study at the University of Plymouth was overnight. Since I concluded my Masters degree already at the University of Benin, I didn’t see any reason to do another Masters but then, our ways aren’t God’s ways.

It all started in September 2020 exactly 2 years today. Arigbe Victor (@arigbevictor ) wouldn’t let me be. In his words, “Leader leave NANS make we go study abroad. Leader leave NANS you’re too intelligent to be a local champion. Leader leave NANS I go carry you go meet my agent make them run am for you. He never allowed me breathing space. He kept pressuring me. At the end, on our way to Lagos for my Pastor’s Son’s wedding, Arigbe Victor finally convinced me and I chose to follow his path. He guided me through the process which he has started for sometime now and immediately we got everything rolling..

At this time, I was very very rich (if you understand what I mean) the agent fee was about 200k I only had 50k. Arigbe took me to the agent I paid the 50k and handed over the process to GOD.

God Did!!! Miraculously God sent helpers my way. On a faithful afternoon my Leader Bishop Amadi Enabulele called me and requested I start application for Canada Immediately. I relaxed and called him back to tell him I started the UK application already. He took over from there and gave me a huge some of money and ask me to keep him updated as I progress. He kept on following the process to ensure I don’t give up at anytime. In his words, Divine, I’m with you all the way. @amadinenab I can’t thank you enough boss!

It got to a point where I got stucked trying to pay my fees in pounds God showed up again and used Rev Father Michael Àchílẹ Umàmẹh to help me upset the fees and he prayed for me saying Divine God will see you through.

At this whole stage I had to inform my Leader Western Iyamu yet because I wasn’t sure he would allow me quit my NANS aspiration. But when it got to the visa stage I was hooked again since the aforementioned had been so good to me, I couldn’t go back to ask for favour again. I needed to explain the process from A-Z to my Leader Western Iyamu he smiled and in his words “Divine whatsoever you want to do, I’m in support”. Leader Western Iyamu gave me his card details to pay off both my Visa fee and my IHS/Priority fees. Oh my God 🥲🥲

As if that wasn’t it, God made my settling in super easy. Leader Martin Luther Obeata received me and accommodated me for days.

I have come to say a very big thank you to Arigbe Victor for motivating me through the process, @amadinenab For the commitment to this course and for constantly helping me in different ways. To Leader Western Iyamu I’m more than blessed to have you in my life. Thank you for been the man that ahod has used to bless people. I’m proud to be a Westerner ☺️

To my Father Rev Michael Àchílẹ Umàmẹh God bless you mightily Father. May God grant all your heart desires.

To my friend turn brother Endurance Aimiuwu. I remember your sacrifice and how you gave me my first rent in the UK £400. In your words, Divine, go and pay your rent and just start working, you’ll be fine. You made this day a success.

I remember those who promised me, and when I got here, they neglected me! I want to say thank you for neglecting me. God showed up for me.

To all those who were always motivating me, praying for me and making sure I took my studies serious I say thank you all. To all my friends names too numerous to mention I say God bless you for being there all these years.

I also want to use this medium to encourage everyone. You don’t need too much to start. You only need God to start. When God is in it, everything else will fall in place.

My unreserved appreciation to everyone who have taken out time to congratulate me. I’m grateful and proud to be associated to you’ll. my prayer is that God will make all our heart desires come through always 🙏🙏🙏🙏

Indeed, I’m that one whose kernel was cracked.”
