The University of Benin Alumni Association North America (UBAANA) has built and donated a students’ recreation centre to the Ekehuan campus of the University of Benin (UNIBEN) in Edo State.
Commissioning the project, President of UBAANA, Mr. Alex Imuetinyan Eronmwon, said the project was in response to the yearnings of the students and as a way of giving back to the society.

He implored the students to take up the challenge of maintaining the structure at all time, and emulate other Alumni in giving back to their Alma mater upon graduation from the University.
Elated, the Institution’s Vice Chancellor, Professor Lilian Salami, who was represented by the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Ekehuan Campus), Prof. Ben Ayinde, lauded the Eronmwon led UBAANA for its unwavering support towards her administration.

On their part, the University Students’ Union leaders present applauded UBAANA and President Eronmwon for granting their request by erecting the edifice, while lauding the Vice Chancellor for equally approving a site for the building project.
The newly unveiled UBAANA Recreation Centre (Ekehuan Campus) has charging hubs fully installed for the students to charge their gadgets including phones and laptops while relaxing at the serene environment.

CAMPUS GIST understands that the Alumni Association plans to replicate same gesture at the Ugbowo main campus of the University of Benin in no distant time.
