The University of Benin Alumni Association North America (UBAANA) has donated computers and other accessories valued at N5.76 million to the University of Benin. The items were donated to enhance the processing and issuance of transcripts by the Exams and Records Division of the University.
CAMPUS GIST recalls that President of UBAANA, Mr. Alex Imuetinyan Eronmwon had during a courtesy visit to the University Management, recently, announced plans for such donations including Desktop Computers, HP LaserJet printers, Uninterrupted Power Supply (UPS), HP Scanner, and a HP Copier.

Receiving the items, the Vice Chancellor, Professor Lilian Salami, thanked the UBAANA President, Mr Alex Eronmwon and members of the Association for the kind gesture and assured them that the items would be used for the purpose for which they were donated.
Elated, the Vice Chancellor further eulogised UBAANA for its regular donations towards the development of the University under her watch, and urged other branches of the University of Benin Alumni Association to emulate the UBAANA “give back” tradition.

Present at the presentation ceremony alongside the Vice Chancellor were the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Administration), Professor Catherine Ukponmwan; the Deputy Vice Chancellor, Ekehuan Campus, Professor A. B. Ayinde; the Director of Legal Services, Professor Amos Enabulele; the Head, Exams and Records Division, Mr John Osagie, and the Acting Director, Alumni Relations, Dr Stephen Obeki Obeki.
